Date of Birth: 1974

Dam: Unknown

Sire: Unknown

Description: Estee Lauder, owned by Kay Sharpnack, Hinterland, Sisters, Oregon is a 450-lb. llama with good fiber extension down to her knees and hocks. She has never lost her neck wool. Color: White with gray goggles, gray ear. Her whole blanket, withers and tail are a brownish gray. “She looked black and white when she was born and the gradations of color appeared as she matured.” said Kay. Estee Lauder epitomizes the style and correctness of the North American (“Old South American”) blood stock. At 23, her legs are straight, front and back, and her side view shows no breakdown of her pasterns.

History: She was purchased from the Catskill Game Farm in March of 1976 for $1,500. She has 14 registered crias . “She gave birth to Villa D’este by Dr. Doolittle in 1982, and Villa D’este just gave me a beautiful male by Peruvian Particular,” said Kay. Another son by Eclipse, Magna Cum Laude, has done very well, as has a daughter - See ‘ya Lauder - who was bred to Macho Camacho and produced Mach 1 owned by Dan and Dale Goodyear, Robesonia in Pennsylvania. Two other productive daughters are Arpege, Youth Dew.
